At YCIS Qingdao we are committed to providing children with the best learning opportunities. For this reason we have applied for membership of East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS)

Dr Dick Krajczar, the president of EARCOS visited our school today. This visit was to approve our EARCOS membership.

The EARCOS is an organisation of 153 member schools in East Asia. These schools have a total of more than 100,000 pre-K to 12th Grade students. Its mission is to inspire adult and student learning through its leadership and service and fosters intercultural understanding, global citizenship and exceptional educational practices within our learning community.

EARCOS membership will help YCIS Qingdao:

• To develop more collaborative educational partnerships within the region as well as worldwide to foster greater access to expertise.
• To provide professional development opportunities for our teachers.
• To connect with other schools more easily and gain access to broader educational opportunities.
• To engage teachers and students in learning activities across the region to promote friendship, understanding and global citizenship.
• To access research and archive relevant data to identify and enhance exceptional educational practices.

EARCOS plays a prominent leadership role throughout the global educational community, and membership of this organisation allows us to keep in touch with global educational trends.
