The IBDP coffee morning for Year 11 and Year 12 parents took place on Tuesday, 17th September. It gave our parents the opportunity to learn more about the different elements of the IBDP program, and how their children will be assessed.

They had the opportunity to gain some ‘hands on’ experience of how teaching and learning works in the IB classes.

We focused on inquiry-based learning and the ways in which the IB philosophy aligns with YCIS Qingdao’s.

Our capable staff was present to field questions.

We recognize that education is a partnership between schools, parents and students, and we would like our parents to be actively involved in the continued development of our new IBDP program.

We will be hosting a second IBDP coffee morning for parents on Tuesday, 8th October at 9:30am.

In this session, we will revisit teaching and learning in the classroom, as well as look more specifically at the structure of the program.
