Last September, Yew Chung International School of Qingdao welcomed our Primary parents to a Chinese Workshop conducted by our Chinese department. This workshop aimed to provide extensive information and requirements on Chinese as a First Language (CFL) and Chinese as an Additional Language (CAL) classes. The workshop was divided into several sessions according to the different year groups.

During the interactive presentation, our knowledgeable Chinese teachers shared important information with the parents about the Teaching and Learning Objectives for the Academic Year of 2019/2020, the in-class activities, as well as the Chinese class requirements.

Yew Chung is well recognised as an international school and has always been a pioneer in terms of Chinese Education. The Chinese sessions are always a success. The interaction between parents and teachers led to useful tips and ideas being shared on the importance of Chinese learning. YCIS workshops are one of the key factors in building a stronger parent-school relationship.
