As part of YCIS’s annual World Classroom Trip, Year 8 students recently had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Czech Republic for one week.
While in the Czech Republic, students learned many interesting things about the local history, people, language, culture, and food. Students visited sites such as historical castles, medicinal springs, a glass blowing factory, and Prague’s famous Charles Bridge and Old Town Square.
Students also had the opportunity to try traditional Czech food and even made apple strudel and potato pancakes for their lunch one day!
Overall, World Classroom is a great learning opportunity to see and learn about other parts of the world, as well as meet students from other YCIS schools. The Year 8 students had a great time touring around the Czech Republic and it is a trip they will never forget!
